Whose bloody idea was it to get up for a 6.45am PT session?  Do you know how many normal people are up and about at that time?  On a Saturday?  Not bloody many, that's for sure.  Especially if it's 6.45am and raining.  Whoever invented 6.45am needs to be shot.  Point blank range.

Clearly, I was not a happy camper.  I wasn't grumpy though.  I did tell Wifey that she wasn't allowed to come to the session.  She had to stay in bed and catch up on some of the sleep she's been missing out on for the last few weeks.  I'm really a softie (even if I had found out that PT sent a text to Wifey first...), huh?

PT was a bit shocked to see me on my own.  Nevertheless, she put me through the wringer.  Burpies, squat jumps, boxing, sit ups, press ups, running, and other things that made me look even more ridiculous.  I was fair knackered at the end.  Fortunately, the rain held off as we - I - trained...then bucketed down as I walked home.  I didn't mind though.  It was the big, heavy drops - with no wind.  Very refreshing.  I was mildly steaming a bit though - haha.  I worked off about 868 calories in my 45 minute session (cut short 'cos PT had to be elsewhere)...oh, and the walk to and from training.  Am happy with this.

I, still on my unexpected bout of kindness, made brekkie in bed for Wifey (and me) after I'd showered.  Three-egg omelette (only one yolk).  I do a wicked one of these now.  They seem to be getting fluffier and fluffier each time.  Yay me.

After brekkie the weekend laziness set in.  We lazed about.  Watching the rain, listening to the wind when it picked up.  We couldn't be lazy all day though - that would be a waste of a day.  Instead, we ventured off...to the movies ;)   Saw Red.  Brilliant (even if Hoyts is too cheap to turn heating on and we were fair freezing).  After this, off to the supermarket for the weekly shop (yeah, sad way to spend a Saturday night, eh).

Dinner comprised of a fruit salad for Wifey and a couple of pita pockets with garlic and parmesan for me.  (Our lunch was the popcorn at the movies - salt heavy, but tasty!)

Oh crap.  I've been doing my blog and not posting it.  I must stop getting into the bad habit of putting note points down and saying, 'I'll expand on this later'.  End result is what's just happened - three days worth in a short space of time (well, three days when this one gets posted - the other two just went up).  Arrgh.  Life is getting in the way of, well, life ;)

Why does work have to interfere with one's life so much?  Huh?  C'mon.  Why?  After two days of sitting through meetings, guess what fun (and I'm using this term lightly here) tasks I had to do?  Bah humbug.  I sat there and typed up the reports from the two days.  This is harrowing stuff, I tell you.  Sitting on your arse doing nothing but trying to read your own indecipherable scrawls, and listening back to the recorded sessions.  I did this for about six and a half straight hours before calling it quits for the day and leaving (s'ok - I'd done all the hours for the week).  Even though I had my brekkie (cereal with yoghurt - no fruit today as we'd run out :( ), I'd forgotten all about my lunch...until I was on the train home, when I realised it was still at work.  Had I had lunch, it would've been the left over pumpkin soup from the other night.  Bah.

PT sent through a text asking if we could have our session at 6.45am - not our usual 7.30am.  Because I'm the world's nicest guy, I said yes.  I should've thought about poor Wifey, but hey.  I was asked.  I don't think she was :)  Them's the breaks - haha.

When I got home, I pretty much sat down and zoned out.  Seriously.  Like a zombie.  I wasn't sleeping and I sure as hell wasn't watching whatever was on the tele.  I may've been looking at it, but nothing was sinking in.  Weird feeling.  Over-tiredness I think.

Wifey allowed me the pleasure of seeing her briefly.  She was involved in a Creative Arts evening at her school and had been at the theatre all day.  Our plan was to pick up dinner on the way back to the theatre (she was home for about 30mins) but this didn't happen as we didn't time things right - go figure.  In the end, we had no dinner.  Actually, I did have dinner.  Corn thins with cottage cheese and tomato on them.  Sadly, it was around 9.30-10pm.  Not good, but better than starving myself most of the day.

Yeeeeehaaaaaaa!

Am booked in for the end of season party.  Should be a good bit o' craic.  Was even kind enough to get a ticket for Wifey (well, the least I could do given how supportive she's been through this).  Looking forward to it - kinda.  The thought of having to buy some new 'going out clothes' doesn't do much for me.  Mind you, I'm starting to dislike all the clothes I have now.  I've not lost a lot of weight, but I must be losing the cms as my trousers, jeans and shirts are all starting to look a bit...baggy on me.  Not looking forward to parting with the $$$ on new clothes.

Another day of meetings.  Had cereal, fruit & yoghurt for brekkie.  Actually had a chance to have lunch today - shame it wasn't very healthy.  Well, parts of it were - just not necessarily the parts I had ;)   A scrummy Mediterranean salad, a mini sausage roll and two vege spring rolls...and a few sweets.

Finished doing the laundry (the more I do during the week, the less there is to do on the weekends).  See.  That's how exciting my life is :(

The problem with having these meetings, even if I know they're red flag days, is that by the time I get home and think about dinner, I really, physically can't be arsed doing exercise.  So much for my, 'I'm going to do better next week'.  Bah.  I'm fat.  I'm lazy.  I'm proud.  *waves the fat banner*.  Just kidding...I'd hope...

Not much reporting today.  Rice paper rolls for brekkie (rather than cereal for a change).  No lunch as I had no time - tomorrow will most likely be the same, too.

Was in at work just after 7am and out at 5.30pm.  By the time I got home around 6pm I was fair pooped.  Helped with the prep for dinner (and Wifey's lunch) but otherwise, sat on my arse.  Being in meetings all day really takes it out of you - and there's still another day to go :(

Weighed in this morning.  Lost a wee bit - 900g - so takes me to a fraction less than I was before last week's increase.  I think next week will definitely be an increase though.  No exercise today, chances are none tomorrow and deffo none on Friday.  Mind you - Saturday is the session with PT and then Sunday is the 10km fun run (which reminds me, I really must check in to see how I'm going with the goals I set - bet not very well :( ).

Bah.  I'm over it.  Computer is heavy - but not as heavy as the ol' eyelids - and I'm starting to feel sorry for myself.  Toodles.

Melbourne Cup day.  Wahoo.  Is anyone else not as excited as me? ;)

I couldn't win a thing if I had the only ticket.  That's always been the story of my life (though Wifey would most likely say something corny like, 'you won my heart' - barf ;) ).  As I'm telling everyone this at work, what happens.  I end up with a winner and second place in the office sweeps.  Okay.  The second place doesn't count as technically I bought that one for my mother-in-law (who does have the knack of winning things - even if she didn't have a ticket in something, she could most likely still win).  Yay for me.

Brekkie.  Normal - cereal, fruit & yoghurt (a bit too much yoghurt - still getting used to the new container).

Lunch.  Provided by work.  Oh.  My.  Freaking.  God.  The spread was AMAZING.  But you know what (you don't so I don't know why I bother even adding that), I didn't feel tempted by things - not even the sweets or breads...or cheeses.  I had a slice of roast beef, a small slice of ham and some salad (no dressings).  Oh, and a 1/2 a pita pocket.  I was very content with that.  Oh (yeah, here we go...), I did have a small chocolate (but that was only 'cos one of the girls thinks I'm too good at avoiding the sweet things - our office seems to have a lot of them around).

When I got home, I did my usual exercise routine.  51 minutes and 670 calories later I was a pooped bunny...who should've really been thinking of preparing dinner but couldn't be bothered.  Wifey can do it - she's better in the kitchen than I am, anyway.  A lovely beef stir fry soon resulted from her swift hands.  Since we had some leftover buttermilk, Wifey whipped up a delish chocolate cake - very nice.  I, on the other hand, had lunch responsibilities again.  Using up the rice paper, I changed lunch to be rice paper rolls again (been a while).  Actually, it is for Wifey's lunch and my brekkie (I have meetings all day for the next couple of days - huzzah!).

12WBT +44

This is it.  Week 7 of the 12WBT.  I need to pull finger if I want to impress.  Impress?  Where did that word come from?  Who am I out to impress?  Me?  Wifey?  The world?  These inner dialogues that play out in my head scare me at times...  You don't know what it's like to just go into a whole different world when you're doing your blog, do you?  I'd like to know now?  Is it just me who sits there and zones out, letting whatever is going on in my head control what is being typed?  Maybe I should think this and not say it out loud.

I am gearing myself up for another weight gain this week.  I feel fat(ter than usual).  Y'know, it's like when your body is telling you something you already know in your head.  Gee, there we go again.  More internal conflict.  Not really conflict.  This time my body and my head are in full agreement.  Maybe it was too soon to stop referring to myself as fatty-boom-boom.  Oddly, I find myself nodding as I write that.  *sigh*

Bought a new breakfast container on the weekend.  It's just a cheap one from Woolies, but it's a tube with three individual containers that screw into each other.  One for cereal, one for fruit and one for yoghurt.  I'm so anal when it comes to being organised, it's sad.  At least I'm cheap to amuse ;)

Adapted lunch today.  Most likely for the worse, but it was a necessary evil (hey!  That's how I should refer to myself - a necessary evil.  I like that.  I like that a lot!).  Skipped the contents suggested and replaced with chargrilled eggplant, feta, rocket and a tiny bit of cottage cheese (Wifey also had avocado - yuck!).  I love wraps.  I also love salads.  Can't believe that I used to have a sandwich every day for lunch. God, doubt I could eat all those carbs anymore.

When I got home from work, after doing my workout (yes, still loving the Biggest Loser DVDs - now talking when doing them - not swearing.  Things like, 'Bring it on, baby' etc.  For the record, I do this when it's only me at home.  Shame, otherwise!), I put a recipe that Wifey and I developed into practice.  Wifey's World Tour Lunch - 295cals.  With the exception of the olives (yuck - yeah, I'm the fussiest bloke around, I know.  I know), it looked scrummy.  First attempt.  Wifey will get it for lunch tomorrow (my work's putting on a Melbourne Cup lunch for us...give me the strength to avoid temptation as God knows it'll be there in full force!).  Will have to report on what she thought of it...

Dinner was the chicken & yoghurt.  Can I just say, Wifey is the BESTEST in the kitchen.  I've not had chicken so lovely and tender before (close, but this won hands down!).  It was a divine dish.  Sadly, we still have some banana loaf sitting around and a slice forced itself down my throat.  True story.  Banana loaf can be well forceful at times - have you ever had an encounter with it?  Erm...normal programming please, EP... ;)

PS: workout - 667cals in 52 minutes.

12WBT +43

Oh, God.  Where is my energy?  Plug's been pulled and the battery is running low.

I'm fast dawning on the realisation that I'm a fat, lazy oaf.  Okay, that's not entirely true.  I've known this for quite a while.  It seems like Fridays AND Sundays are now my "rest days".  WTF?  When did this start happening?  Crap.  It's no wonder I feel like I'm getting nowhere fast.

This realisation that I'm not putting into the program what I should be is my wake up call.  I need this program.  Not need as in needing a fix!  That's just sad.  No, I mean as in I need it to help me pull out of this mindset I've been in for the last 34 years; to help awaken the inner thinny (who's slowly being suffocated with all the layers of fat).  Yep.  He's heeeeeerrrrrrrrreeeeeee.  (Whether or not you choose to see a psycho wielding a sharp knife is up to you...personally, that's what springs to my mind.  Just like the time at Bunnings when I said to Wifey, 'hey, they really thought this aisle through.  Axes, tarps and shovels.'  Hmm.  Too many horror books as a kid...)

It was another piss-poor weekend for me.  Sure, went to the PT, but for what?  We had a bagel with cottage cheese and tomato for lunch (too scared to check out the calories) and I had a slice of banana loaf for afternoon tea.  Dinner comprised of...  What was dinner?  Oh, yeah.  The pumpkin & bean curry.  Ohh, that was a do-er again.  It seemed very liquidy so I threw in some couscous.  Mainly for Wifey - I only had two small fork fulls.

I had all the intentions of going out for a long walk before dinner (while Wifey was doing her school work).  Instead, I sidetracked myself and did some tidying up in the study (filing accounts and that sort of stuff you do when in full-on avoidance mode).  Then, when I finally decided to go for a walk, there was this loud clap of thunder and the skies opened.  Pfft.  Walk went out the window.

Must get rid of this feeling of laziness.  Once upon a time I wouldn't have give an flying f**k about it.  Now, as scary as it is for me to say this, I feel disgusted that I've not done anything.  I will do more this coming week...I promise.
